and the pvp boni are crap compared to the special armor for the pvers (like 15k, fow and the new factions armor that will come)
and YES.... these fall in the category pve boni.

What really irks me is that cap sigs are still gonna be 1k per on the old chars and that 180 skills = 180k -_- I dunno about you, but thats alot of money for skills, I can't imagine alot of people having enough to fork over this unless they grind for a while to be able to pay, heck, even though I have the means to get all skills for my char, I can't imagine wasting that much time and not to mention forking over that much dough ^^; I'm probly just gonna stick to the exploration of cantha and tyria part, maybe get another pvp title and improve my rank from 3 to 6.

They have also said that there’s gold reward for quest to help buy those new skills.

maybe people still arnt getting this, the reason why its challangeing to get, is so that the ranks actually show an acheivment of something, thats the whole point of ranks.
If they were gunna make it easy, so that everoyone could do it, then there would be no point in having it at all.

It actually used to be much worse. Before the Sorrow's Furnace update added the 1K cap (though made the cost scale up much faster) you would end up with skill training costs of around 3K per if you had most of the skills.
As for me I was planning on questing/training/capping the new factions skills anyway (on my main) so that title will just be gravy.

Awesome. Now players have something to strive for that doesn't actually affect the game or impede fun!
Go Champion Title go!

*Twitches and grins* I have a strong feeling there will be a epidemic of "factionitis" going around on the 27-28th. A distant relative of "halotwonitis." That caused the mysterious mass absences from school and work on the day Halo 2 was released....hehe, apparently some computer viruses mutate and affect humans....

Consider however, all Elite skills atm are in higher end parts of the game, which will probably be the case in factions also. While you are fightig you way to the relevant boss you will be picking up gold and drops to sell, allowing you to buy the next Capture Sig. Granted you probably wont be picking up 1k every time, but hopefully you'll be most of the way there.

You know, it's actually illegal for Square Enix to release a Dragon Quest game any time outside weekends and holidays in Japan. Apparently they were having trouble with whole cities nearly shutting down on the day of release because everyone would skip out to go buy the games.
I kind of wonder if something like that will ever go into effect over here in the US. . . . I know I'm going to be skipping out on school on the 27th for the head start event.

From the sounds of it it's not really "guild storage". It just means Player X can access his own storage. Player Y couldn't put something in a guild-wide storage so that Player X could withdraw it later. So not really "guild storage" from the sounds of it. Priest of Balthazar in Guild Hall is awesome. I hate mapping to randoms to drain faction after a few gvgs.

All of this definitely sounds awesome! I was wondering, however, if these titles based on your exploration would be referring to outposts visited or percentage of the map uncovered. If the former is true...we could see things like "LFR [insert title here]." I hope the latter is true, that way we actually have to fight through explorable areas (or at least run them ourselves) to gain titles based on exploration.

That's true. Though sadly, if a great, highly anticipated movie produces the same effect, they ignore it.
It's partly happening here in the Philippines already, gaming controlled, students checked, but movies? yes even the profs/teachers will let them skip classes (but are expectd to write an essay after).
